Jesus risen and ascended means for us joy; joy multiplied, joy magnified. We now have the joy of being in fellowship with the Father because our sin and guilt is removed; we have the joy of all our sins forgiven. We have joy because we have as a present possession, the gift of eternal life and Heaven as our final home our future destination.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.  And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.   —John 1:1-4

Our Monday Women’s Study is resuming on September 9 at 6:30pm.  We will begin the study Revelation by Jen Wilkin.

The Tuesday Women’s Bible Study will begin meeting at the First United Methodist Church on College Ave. every Tuesday from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Kairos Prison Ministry will be taking the Word to the residents at Southern NM Correctional Facility October 24-27.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Bob Phipps (575-574-2332) or Leroy Becerra (575-313-1167).
