I love the answer that Jesus gave when He was asked the question by the Jews, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” His answer to a Jewish mind must’ve been a mind blower. Jesus didn’t take out a long sheet of rules and name off a bunch of do’s and don’ts. He didn’t say, “OK, get your notepads out—I’m going to add to your 613 rules to keep, because that’s too short.” No, He simply answered the question like this:  “The work of God is this: to believe in the One that He has sent.“  The word  “believe” means “have faith in, trust, to entrust one’s life to, commit self to, put trust with”—that equals salvation.

And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

The youth group will be having a breakfast burrito fundraiser ($5 each) February 8 after both services and a baked goods auction on February 22 after second service. Both fundraisers will help send students to FUGE camp this summer..
