I'm New!

Here are some answers to common questions.

Calvary Chapel consists of a diverse group of people from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are, you are assured a very warm welcome at Calvary Chapel of Silver City.  To learn more about our beliefs and background, visit the "our beliefs" link.

Our Sunday services are at 8:30 and 10:30AM, Thursday at 6:30PM. Each service begins with about 30 minutes worshiping through congregational singing. Our worship time consists of singing mostly contemporary songs (with guitars, keyboards and drums and the words to the songs on a large screen in front).

The message lasts usually about an hour, a teaching that is verse-by-verse through books of the Bible as "Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us" (2 Timothy 3:16-17 MSG).

This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. There is no need to dress up to try and be someone that you're not.

We have classes for children of all ages during all our weekly services, as well as quality nursery care for your littlest ones.

We believe that the Scripture clearly teaches us to be generous in giving for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God, and there are "Agape" boxes available to anyone who desires to give. However, we do not ask visitors to give and there is no offering taken during our regular services.
