Some people seem to believe that they can say “Jesus is my Savior” and then just live however they want and still go to Heaven. Big, big misconception and bad theology: they will be in for a rude awakening. It’s interesting that we find the word “Lord” 745 times, & “Savior” just 24 times, and “Lord and Savior” together 16 times, and “Lord” is always first.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Come out for a day of fun and fellowship at Gomez Peak Pavilion on Saturday, November 9, from 1-4pm.  We will have a bounce house, games for kids with prizes, face painting, horseshoes, cornhole and volleyball, as well as cooking out hot dogs and burgers.  Bring a dish to share and a comfy chair!

Southwest Bible Camp’s fall Youth Retreat will be held in Glenwood Friday, Nov. 22 (4pm) through Sunday, Nov. 24 (10:00am). This is an exciting weekend designed to engage and challenge young people aged fourteen to mid-twenties. Ladies, mark your calendar for the women's Christmas dinner event  Prepare Him Room on Saturday evening, December 7. More details to come.
