Eliezar, being a type of the Holy Spirit, gave gifts to the bride. The Holy Spirit also gives gifts to Jesus’ bride, the church. Elieazar gave new clothing to Rebekah. So too, we the bride of Christ can no longer be dressed in the filthy rags of our own righteousness, or rather unrighteousness, but must now be arrayed in the white spotless fine linen of Christ’s righteousness as His bride.
